Report of officers. Mayor’s Report – Met with PSRC Executive Director Xxxx Xxxxx and Director of Government Relations and Communications Xxxx Xxxxx – the purpose of the meeting was to discover the concerns of cities surrounding the airport. In February attended the Regional Transportation System Initiative and King County-Cities Climate Collaboration Summit. Councilmember & Regional Committee Reports – (XxXxxx) Attended Finance and EDC meetings. (West) Xxxxx Xxxxx has taken over the management of the EDC website. (Xxxxxxx) Attending many meetings as a newly elected official including Sound Cities Association, AWC Workshop on local planning, Port of Seattle breakfast, AWC City Action days in Olympia, King County-Cities Climate Collaboration (K4C), PSRC events, and PICK event. (Xxxxxxx) Finance Committee is kicking off budget season requesting volunteers for the Budget Advisory Group (BAG). Rough target will be to have the BAG meet weekly starting in August. Described an outreach program that includes staff members visiting citizen homes to discuss city finance issues. Asked for volunteers City of Normandy Park City Council Regular Meeting - City Council Xxxxxxxx February 13, 2018 interested in hosting. (McDonald) Upcoming meetings include EDC, Soundside Alliance Policy Committee Meeting, COPS, and Lodging Tax Committee. City Manager’s Report – Local state legislators have put forward a proviso regarding an airport impact study. The state has offered $500,000 if local government will match. City Manager Xxxxxx asked the council to recommend that he write a letter offering the city’s support for this proviso with a commitment on pro-capita participation only. Council agreed for the City manager to proceed forward with the letter.
