Common use of REPORTING IN PAY Clause in Contracts

REPORTING IN PAY. 19.01 Any employee who has not been notified in advance “not to report for work,” and who reports for their regular scheduled shift, will be given at least four (4) hours work. If no work is available, they will be paid for a minimum of four (4) hours at their base hourly rate. 19.02 The obligation of the Company will not prevail: (1) If no work is available because of: (a) A power shortage or a failure of power supply beyond the control of the company. (b) A fire or Act of God (c) If the company made a reasonable attempt to advise you not to report to work. (2) If the employee has not kept the Company informed of their current address and a telephone number.
