Research training partnerships. As well as leveraging its internal capacities into improved research training, the University is now actively building collaborative training programs with other institutions primarily but not exclusively through the CRN. Through the CRN, the University has developed close training partnerships with Melbourne, Monash and Deakin – for example, all CRN HDRs must be jointly supervised and an academic staff member from at least one other partner university must be engaged in the research project. The University will extend this model to other universities and in particular with the RUN group of universities.
