Fails to the Employer of his return to work following a lay-off and after being notified by registered mail to do so, through sickness or other just cause. It shall be the responsibility of the employee to keep the Employer informed of his current address. Is laid off for a period longer than twenty-four (24) months. He is unable to return to work within twenty-four (24) months after exhausting all sick leave credits. Utilizes a leave of absence for purposes other than for which the leave may have been granted. to return to work after the completion of a leave of absence granted by the Employer.

Employees may have the right to withdraw his/her resignation forty-eight (48) hours after the date of resignation submitted to the Employer without interruption of wages, benefits, seniority or service. Such withdrawal shall be in writing. This provision does not apply where the resignation is offered in a settlement of a grievance.
