Responsibility for Clean-Up of the Work Site. The Contractor shall, at all times, keep the work area in a neat, clean and safe condition. Upon completion of any portion of the Work, the Contractor shall promptly remove all of its equipment, temporary structures and surplus materials not to be used at or near the same location during later stages of work. Upon completion of the Work and before final payment is made, the Contractor shall, at its expense, dispose of all unnecessary vegetation, structures, rubbish, unused materials, and other equipment and materials belonging to it or used in the performance of the Work to the satisfaction of the Owner in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, ordinances and codes. The Contractor shall leave the premises and Work site in a neat, clean, and safe condition. In the event of the failure to comply with the foregoing, the Owner may satisfy the requirements of this Section at the Contractor's expense.
