Common use of Responsibility Pay Clause in Contracts

Responsibility Pay. (a) An employee who is designated in writing to relieve the Director of Nursing, shall be paid eight dollars and fifty cents ($8.50) per shift for each shift so worked, in addition to her regular rate of pay. (b) The Employer shall, when no supervisor is on duty, designate one employee, when employees are on duty, to be in charge on those evening, night, or weekend shifts. Such employee shall receive five dollars ($5.00) per shift in addition to her regular rate of pay. Effective July 1, 2005, the Employer shall, when no supervisor is on duty, designate one employee when employees are on duty, to be in charge on those evening, night, or weekend shifts. Such employee shall receive seven dollars and fifty cents ($7.50) per shift in addition to her regular rate of pay.
