The general objective of the procedure stated in this 4 Section 8.2 is to provide for the accomplishment of layoffs for business 5 reasons, to the end that insofar as practicable the layoffs will be made 6 equitably, expeditiously and economically, and at the same time will 7 result in retention on the payroll of those employees regarded by 8 management as comprising the workforce that is best able to maintain 9 or improve the efficiency of the Company, further its progress and 10 success and contribute to the successful accomplishment of the 11 Company’s current and future business. The occurrence and existence 12 of any condition necessitating a layoff, and the number of employees 13 involved, will be determined exclusively by the Company. 15 Following such determination, the Company will notify the Union 16 of the anticipated layoff and, to the extent practicable, the job 17 classifications and numbers of employees apt to be affected. The occurrence and existence of any condition necessitating a layoff, and the number of employees involved, will be determined exclusively by the Company. Following such determination, the Company will notify the Union of the anticipated layoff and, to the extent practicable, the job classifications and numbers of employees apt to be affected. Such transfer will be accomplished with appropriate coordination between the Parties and subject to appropriate industry lead times for movements of NXXs from one switch to another. Neither Party shall charge the other in connection with this coordinated transfer.

  • Peer Assistance and Review Program 1. MCEA and MCPS agree to jointly operate a Peer Assistance and Review (PAR) Program. The PAR Program is a mechanism for maintaining systemwide quality control and ensuring that all MCPS teachers responsible for teaching students are functioning at or above the high MCPS standards of performance. It provides intensive assistance for any teacher who has not yet achieved that standard or who falls below acceptable standards. Assistance and review are provided to both experienced MCPS teachers in need of significant improvement and teachers in their first year of teaching.

  • STATEWIDE CONTRACT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM If the maximum amount payable to Contractor under this Contract is $100,000 or greater, either on the Effective Date or at any time thereafter, this section shall apply. Contractor agrees to be governed by and comply with the provisions of §§00-000-000, 00-000-000, 00-000-000, and 00- 000-000, C.R.S. regarding the monitoring of vendor performance and the reporting of contract information in the State’s contract management system (“Contract Management System” or “CMS”). Contractor’s performance shall be subject to evaluation and review in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Contract, Colorado statutes governing CMS, and State Fiscal Rules and State Controller policies.

  • Routing for Operator Services and Directory Assistance Traffic For a Verizon Telecommunications Service dial tone line purchased by MLTC for resale pursuant to the Resale Attachment, upon request by MLTC, Verizon will establish an arrangement that will permit MLTC to route the MLTC Customer’s calls for operator and directory assistance services to a provider of operator and directory assistance services selected by MLTC. Verizon will provide this routing arrangement in accordance with, but only to the extent required by, Applicable Law. Verizon will provide this routing arrangement pursuant to an appropriate written request submitted by MLTC and a mutually agreed-upon schedule. This routing arrangement will be implemented at MLTC's expense, with charges determined on an individual case basis. In addition to charges for initially establishing the routing arrangement, MLTC will be responsible for ongoing monthly and/or usage charges for the routing arrangement. MLTC shall arrange, at its own expense, the trunking and other facilities required to transport traffic to MLTC’s selected provider of operator and directory assistance services.
