Return From Paid Leave. 23.2.12.1. Unit members returning from paid leave of one school year or less, shall be entitled to return to the same position and assignment held prior to the leave, providing that position still exists in the District. If the position does not exist, the unit member shall be entitled to a position in the District which is appropriate to his/her credential.

Return From Paid Leave. A. An employee on a paid leave of absence and those qualifying and receiving workers compensation may return to his/her previous position for up to six (6) months, calculated from the date of the first day of the leave. Where appropriate, the Employer may offer bridge assignments to employees recovering from workers' compensation covered injuries. Such assignments shall be in accordance with the provisions of the Michigan Workers' Compensation Act and shall not exceed a maximum period of six (6) months. The assignment shall be in the employee's department if such a position is available.

  • Return from Reemployment The employee’s previous salary eligibility date, adjusted by the amount of break-in- service, shall represent the earliest salary eligibility date following return. However, the salary eligibility date may be established as the first of the month in any future month up to twelve (12) months from the date of reemployment.
