Return from Leave of Absence. (a) Before a Nurse may return to work from a leave granted under Article 9.00, she or he must provide a minimum of four (4) weeks written notice of the specific date of his or her return to work, or such shorter time as mutually agreed.
(b) Upon return from an approved Unpaid Leave of Absence, a Nurse shall be reinstated to her or his former position unless the position has been discontinued, in which case the Nurse shall be appointed to an equivalent position.
(c) This clause requiring four (4) weeks written notice, does not apply to other leaves granted by an express provision of this Collective Agreement with different requirements for written notice.
Return from Leave of Absence. Upon return from Leave of Absence, the employee will be returned to the job held prior to the Leave of Absence or a similar job, if the prior job held by the employee no longer exists. Except in cases where the employee would have been removed from that job for just cause.
Return from Leave of Absence. The employee returning from an authorized leave of absence is entitled to return to his/her same position. The Employer will make a good faith effort to reinstate employees returning from an authorized leave of absence to their previous or similar assignment and schedule. An employee who fails to return to work within five (5) calendar days of the expiration of a leave, and/or has not obtained an extension of the leave prior to its expiration will be considered to have voluntarily terminated employment.
Return from Leave of Absence. Any employee who fails to return to work as scheduled from a leave of absence, and who is not excused by the Superintendent shall be considered to have resigned from his/her employment. All employees shall be given written notice of this provision (effectuated via this CBA) prior to the commencement of any leave of absence.

A Casual Nurse shall be returned to the Nurse’s previous Casual Status.
(c) This clause requiring four (4) weeks written notice, does not apply to other leaves granted by an express provision of this Collective Agreement with different requirements for written notice.
(d) This provision is not applicable to a Casual Nurse (except a Casual Nurse in a Temporary Position).
Return from Leave of Absence. Any employee returning from an authorized leave as stated in this Agreement shall return to his/her previously held job classification and schedule (hours, days and room) provided that neither has been abolished and the employee is qualified. In the event the schedule has been abolished and cannot be reestablished, the employee may bump into any schedule commensurate with his/her accrued seniority. Return to previous schedule will only be guaranteed if the leave is less than ninety-one (91) days.
Return from Leave of Absence. An employee who applies for return from leave of absence on or before the expiration date of his/her leave will be returned in accordance with the following:
15.2(a) Where an employee returns from a leave of absence that was granted due to industrial injury or industrial illness and he/she is medically able to perform the job which he/she last held:
Return from Leave of Absence. An employee returning from an approved leave of absence of sixty (60) calendar days or less will be restored to his/her previous permanent assignment.
Return from Leave of Absence. Any employee returning within the same work year from sick leave, 34 bereavement leave, statutory leave, judicial leave, personal necessity leave, 35 or Family and Medical Leave Act FMLA or California Family Rights Act 36 (CFRA) shall return to the same position assigned previous to the 37 commencement of the leave. 38
Return from Leave of Absence. 33.1 Any officer who has been granted a leave of absence and who, for any reason except sickness or physical disability, fails to return to work at the expiration of said leave of absence, shall be considered as having resigned their position with the City effective the date the leave commenced.
