REVISION OF WAGES. The wages prescribed for the Motor Industry shall be negotiable by the employers' organisation and the trade unions for a period to be agreed by the parties and implemented in terms of the main agreement.
REVISION OF WAGES. (i) Other General Employees 40. Monthly rated and daily rated employees (other than field employees) specified in Appendix “C” to this Agreement should be entitled to an increase in their wages based on the following formula :- Monthly: 10% x Present Basic Monthly Wage Daily: 10% x (Present Wage – RM13.50) + RM1.50 rounded off to the nearest 5 sen for daily rated employees and to the nearest RM1.00 for monthly rated employees. The daily rate for the latter shall be determined by dividing the monthly rate by 26.

REVISION OF WAGES. The Court rejected the NUPW’s claim for monthly rates of pay. Having considered the evidence adduced and in the light of several principles, the Court was of the view that an adjustment of 11% increase in the basic wages to RM15.00 per day was fair and equitable and ordered accordingly. Managers are kindly advised that the revision of wages for palm oil mill employees is as follows :- Category I Basic Wage - RM15.00 per day Oil Mill Differential - RM2.70 per day ...4/- Category II Basic Wage - RM15.00 per day Oil Mill Differential - RM2.70 per day Special Allowance - RM1.60 per day With regard to the payment of price bonus as a prosperity sharing payment, the Court agreed that it was for the management to decide how much to share the prosperity it gained. Thus, the current rate of price bonus is to be retained. Minimum Earnings The Court agreed that the words “Minimum Basic Earnings” should be changed to “Minimum Earnings” and that the quantum should be fixed at RM500.00 per month, inclusive of basic wage, oil mill differential and Outturn/Attendance Incentive but exclusive of price bonus.
REVISION OF WAGES. Each Employee’s monthly wages shall be revised once a year. Employee must finish a trial work in order to be entitled to wages revision. Increase of wages depends on budget and work performance. If the Employer decides to increase wages, the officially published inflation rate for a 12-month period or growth of living costs (“consumer basket”) may be taken as a basis for the increase.
