While the SRO works in conjunction with the school, because the school campus is the SRO’s patrol area and the population there has special needs which are being addressed through this MOU, the terms and conditions stated in this MOU does not cause the SRO to become an employee of the Board of Directors. The SRO is exclusively an employee of the Department at all times when acting in the course and scope of employment as an SRO under this MOU. I. Data Collection 1. below.

Sept. 1, 2023, Section 2276.002, pursuant to House Bill 4595, Acts 2023, 88th Leg., R.S.) of the Texas Government Code does not apply to the Contract. If circumstances relevant to this provision change during the course of the Contract, Contractor shall promptly notify System Agency.
