Safety Toe Footwear. The University will provide safety toe footwear as required by the Federal and State Rules and Regulations (MIOSHA Part 33, Personal Protective Equipment). The University has exclusive rights to determine the replacement, based on need. The employee, upon approval may purchase the footwear at a store of his/her selection, but the following conditions must be met.

Safety Toe Footwear. DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION The Department of Environmental Conservation (“DEC”) will provide to employees, working in the classifications listed below, who are required to wear safety footwear in accordance with occupational safety and health standards and will perform six (6) or more qualifying field inspections in a single Fiscal Year, as determined by Management, one (1) pair of safety footwear not to exceed one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) in value. The employee may select more expensive footwear at his/her own expense for the difference in cost otherwise provided for by DEC. Footwear must meet the minimum of American Society for Testing and Materials Standards, ASTM STM F2413-17, which the employees in the designated positions are required to wear for job tasks they perform. The safety footwear shall be replaced on a direct exchange basis as DEC determines appropriate. The Commissioner of DEC may determine that additional positions and/or classes within the Department may be eligible for this program. Safety Toe Footwear. All Public Works personnel, including the Director and Supervisors when appropriate, are required to participate in the Safety Toe Footwear Program. Safety toe footwear meeting the ANSI 75 Standard is required. Footwear may be purchased or acquired through one of the approved vendors or from a vendor of the employee’s choice, subject to Director’s or Supervisor’s approval and verification that the footwear meets ANSI 75 standards.   • Safety Footwear 1. The State will provide employees in the classifications listed in Section 7 below, and employees who are currently required to wear safety footwear by Department Work Rules, an allowance of one hundred twenty dollars ($120.00) for replacement of safety footwear.

  • Safety Glasses 10.3.1 Where a teacher is considered to be working in an “eye danger” area, the teacher shall receive a personal issue of standard neutral safety glasses which shall remain the property of the employer.

  • Safety Shoes 3901 Employees who are required to wear steel-toed safety shoes will receive $200 toward the purchase and/or replacement of these shoes in the first quarter of each year. Any employee out on an authorized leave shall receive payment within thirty days of their return to paid duty. New employees who are required to wear steel- toed safety shoes will receive $200 toward the purchase of shoes in their first paycheck; for employees hired on or after December 1, he/she shall not receive an additional $200 in the first quarter.

  • SAFETY & HEALTH The Employer and the IBTCoalition agree that the safety of employees and the general public is of utmost importance. Therefore, the Employer shall provide a safe work environment that is free of recognized hazards that could cause death, injury or illness.

  • Occupational Health & Safety (a) It is a mutual interest of the parties to promote health and safety in workplaces and to prevent and reduce the occurrence of workplace injuries and occupational diseases. The parties agree that health and safety is of the utmost importance and agree to promote health and safety and wellness throughout the organization. The employer shall provide orientation and training in health and safety to new and current employees on an ongoing basis, and employees shall attend required health and safety training sessions. Accordingly, the parties fully endorse the responsibilities of employer and employee under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, making particular reference to the following:
