Safety Shoes definition

Safety Shoes. All Employees after one (1) year seniority who are required to wear safety foot wear will be reimbursed, with receipt, up to $100.00 per calendar year. Maintenance and operators will be reimbursed, with receipt, up to $300.00 per calendar year. UNIFORMS: Uniforms will be provided for the operators and must be worn during all regular working hours.
Safety Shoes means foot protection that complies with the requirements of Cal/OSHA – Title 8, Subchapter 7, Group 2, Article 10, §3385 Foot Protection.

Safety Shoes. All Maintenance Division employees shall wear steel-toe safety shoes while working for the Employer. Effective upon the signing of this Agreement, February 14, 2007 tThe eEmployer will increase its contribution from Ninety-Five ($95.00) to One Hundred Twenty Five dollars ($125.00) once each calendar year toward the cost of safety shoes purchased by an employee who has completed his or her probationary period. If the annual contribution is not used in any year it will roll over to the next year. Partial amounts will not be carried over and no more than two years will be allowed to accumulate. For Maintenance Division employees who request them, the City will purchase one (1) pair of rubber boots selected by the City, once during the term of this contract. All Maintenance Division employees shall receive their choice of either one pair of insulated coveralls or bibs and jacket during the term of this Agreement.
Safety Shoes. A minimum requirement is a six (6) inch high safety work boot with ANSI rated 75 safety toes, made of heavy weight leather, having a heavy weight sole and heel and full laces. Safety shoes shall be worn at all times when engaged in village business. Specific job activities may require additional protection as noted in the appropriate Job Safety Analyses (e.g. Electrical-shock projection). Socks must be worn at all times. Hats: Village issue only.

Safety Shoes. The Company has established a safety shoe program requiring all skilled trade employees to wear safety shoes. Safety shoes are defined as those that are equipped with a protective toe. The Company has agreed to subsidize $65 toward the purchase of safety shoes each year. A mobile shoe van will be on site at least once per year to allow employees to purchase their safety footwear on the premises. Other employees may purchase safety shoes from the mobile shoe van if they so desire however, they will not be eligible for the subsidy. Employees required to wear safety shoes may also purchase the equipment on their own and submit a receipt, including documentation that the shoes meet appropriate ANSI safety standards, in order to be reimbursed for their purchase.
