Salary on Promotion, Hire or Transfer. Any employee who is promoted to a 16 higher classification shall receive at least the beginning step for the higher classification or the next 17 higher salary step as would constitute a minimum of a five percent (5%) increase over the salary 18 received prior to the promotion. The appointing authority may place the promoted Employee at a 19 higher step when the department director determines this action is warranted based on the criteria set 20 forth in the King County Personnel Guidelines and KCC 3.15.130, as amended.   • Vacation Pay Upon Termination When an employee in the bargaining unit is terminated for any reason, he/she shall be entitled to all vacation pay earned and accumulated up to and including the effective date of the termination.

  • At-Will Employment; Termination The Company and Executive acknowledge that Executive’s employment is and shall continue to be at-will, as defined under applicable law, and that Executive’s employment with the Company may be terminated by either party at any time for any or no reason, with or without notice.
