Sample Tests. Sample tests shall be required for cable manufacturer’s lengths in accordance with IEC 60502. One cable sample 10 meters long shall be cut from the completed cable and subjected to the following tests in the following sequence.
a. Conductor examination, clause (17.4)
b. Check of dimensions, clause (17.5, 6, 7, & 8)
c. Voltage test for cables of rated voltage above 7.2 KV, clause (17.9).
d. Hot set test for EPR, HEPR and, XPLE insulation and elastomeric sheaths, clause (17.10).
e. galvanized wires tensile strength and thickness of galvanized coating according to approved latest B.S standard.
Sample Tests. Cables shall be subjected to all routine tests specified in IEC 60502-1, sample tests required by this standard are as follows:
a) Conductor examination.
b) Check of dimensions.
c) Hot set test for EPR, HEPR and XLPE insulations and elastomeric sheaths.
Sample Tests. Samples selected by the Engineer from metals used in the Contract Works shall be tested to prove compliance with the Specification, including guarantees stated in the Schedules.
Sample Tests. In accordance with the requirements of IEC 60137.
Sample Tests. Samples of compound selected by the Engineer from the bulk shall be tested to prove compliance with the requirements of the standards for the appropriate grade of compound.

Sample Tests. Samples of oil and gas from each consignment shall be tested before despatch and shall comply with requirements of IEC 60296 or 60376 as appropriate.

Sample Tests. At the discretion of the Engineer, any part or the whole of the following test shall be made: With the mounting conditions prescribed in 9.4.1 the mounting angle shall be varied within the rising angle limits of 1 degree and 9 degree tests made in accordance with those prescribed in 9.4.1 it is permissible for this test to be combined with tests (b) and (c).

5.4.1 Sample Tests Representative samples, selected by the Engineer, of all galvanised material shall be submitted to galvanising tests. Galvanised fittings associated with insulators, and steel cores for aluminium conductor steel reinforced cables shall be tested in line with the relevant IEC Recommendation. All other fittings, fabrications, hardware and fixings shall be inspected and tested in accordance with ISO Recommendations R1460 and R1461.
