Schedule for Evaluation. 1. Teachers will be notified of their designated evaluator no later than September 15th of each school year, and within 5 workdays of any subsequent change. 2. Teachers may request a meeting with their evaluator to discuss the tools, processes, methodology, and the use of the student growth ratio. 3. Classroom observations may be scheduled any day except: the day before or after Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break; the day after the member returns from an absence; and, the last day of a grading period. 4. The evaluation shall be completed no later than the first day of May, and the teacher being evaluated shall receive a written report of the results of this evaluation, including the assigned evaluation rating, not later than the tenth day of May. 5. The Board may evaluate each teacher assigned an evaluation rating of Accomplished on the teacher’s most recent evaluation conducted under this article once every three school years so long as the teacher’s student academic growth measure, for the most recent school year for which data is available, is average or higher, as determined by the department of education. In that case, the evaluation shall be completed by the first day of May of the applicable school year, and the teacher shall receive a written report of the results of the evaluation by the tenth day of May of that school year. 6. The Board may evaluate a teacher assigned an evaluation rating of Skilled on the teacher’s most recent evaluation conducted under this article once every two school years so long as the teacher’s student academic growth measure, for the most recent school year for which data is available, is average or higher, as determined by the department of education. In that case, the evaluation shall be completed by the first day of May of the applicable school year, and the teaher shall receive a written report of the results of the evaluation by the tenth day of May of that school year. 7. In any year that a teacher is not formally evaluated pursuant to paragraphs 5 or 6, an evaluator shall conduct at least one (1) formal observation of the teacher and hold at least one (1) conference with the teacher. 8. Teachers rated as Accomplished or Skilled may voluntarily choose to be evaluated before the excused window expires.

In that case, the triennial evaluation shall be completed by the first day of May of the applicable school year, and the teacher shall receive a written report of the results of the evaluation by the tenth day of May of that school year. In any year that a teacher is not formally evaluated pursuant to this Article as a result of receiving a rating of Accomplished on the teacher’s most recent evaluation, an individual qualified to evaluate a teacher under Article 6.07(I) shall conduct at least one formal observation of the teacher and hold at least one conference with the teacher. 65. The Notwithstanding paragraph 1, the Board may evaluate each teacher who received a teacher assigned an evaluation rating of Skilled on the teacher’s most recent evaluation conducted under this article once every two school years years, so long as the teacher’s student academic growth measure, for the most recent school year for which data is available, is average or higher, as determined by the department of education. In that case, the biennial evaluation shall be completed by the first day of May of the applicable school year, and the teaher teacher shall receive a written report of the results of the evaluation by the tenth day of May of that school year. 7. In any year that a teacher is not formally evaluated pursuant to paragraphs 5 or 6this Article as a result of receiving a rating of Skilled on the teacher’s most recent evaluation, an evaluator individual qualified to evaluate a teacher under Article 6.07(I) shall conduct at least one (1) formal observation of the teacher and hold at least one (1) conference with the teacher. 86. Teachers rated Notwithstanding paragraph 1, the Board may elect not to conduct an evaluation of a teacher who meets one of the following requirements: a. The teacher was on leave from the School District for fifty percent (50%) or more of the school year, as Accomplished or Skilled may voluntarily choose calculated by the Board. b. The teacher has submitted notice of retirement and that notice has been accepted by the Board not later than the first day of December of the school year in which the evaluation is otherwise scheduled to be conducted. 7. Notwithstanding the foregoing, teachers in their first three (3) years of employment with the Board will be evaluated before each year. Nothing contained herein shall affect the excused window expiresBoard’s ability to evaluate a teacher in accordance with Article 6.07(F)(1)(b) or those teachers who have requested consideration for a continuing contract under 6.05(B).
