Common use of Scheduled PTO Clause in Contracts

Scheduled PTO. PTO used for this purpose will be paid out at the employee's base hourly rate of pay and does not include any shift differentials, premium pay or other work incentives. PTO is not part of any overtime calculations. Scheduled PTO is requested in advance and is subject to supervisory approval and department staffing needs. PTO must be requested prior to posting of the upcoming month's schedule. If there are more requests for time off than the Employer will allow due to operational needs, seniority shall determine who is allowed the time off.
