Section 7.3.5. 14 An employee on paid leave shall continue to earn vacation and sick leave at his or her 15 established rate.

Section 7.3.5. 33 If an awarded late trip is rescheduled, the driver will be notified and have the option of taking 34 that trip. If the driver chooses not to take that trip, it will be treated as a driver cancellation.
Section 7.3.5. An employee who is unable to perform their assigned duties because of personal illness, 16 maternity, or other disability shall, upon request, be granted additional sick leave without pay at 17 the exhaustion of accumulated sick leave. Application for sick leave without pay and for 18 renewal of sick leave without pay shall be made in writing to the District, accompanied by a 19 doctor’s verification and an estimated time of recovery.
Section 7.3.5. 27 All extra trips shall be compensated at the employee's regular base hourly rate for all trip time 28 according to Schedule A, subject to the overtime provisions of Section 6.7. However, every 29 precaution will be taken by BOTH the driver and the transportation supervisor to prevent any 30 driver from driving over forty (40) hours per week except in emergency situations. This may 31 include arranging for a substitute for regular trips if an activity would cause the employee to 32 exceed the forty (40) hours per week. The forty (40) hour maximum will supersede the rotation 33 roster for extra trips.

They may receive and investigate to 15 conclusion complaints or grievances of employees on District time and thereafter advise employees of 16 rights and procedures outlined in this Agreement and applicable regulations or directives for resolving 17 the grievances or complaints. They may not, however, continue to advise the employee on courses of 18 action after the employee has indicated a desire not to pursue a grievance. This does not, however, 19 preclude the Association's right to pursue the matter to conclusion. They may consult with the District 20 on complaints without a grievance being made by an individual employee.
