Securing Substitute Teachers. 250 A substitute teacher shall be employed by the District when a full-time professional 251 employee is absent from duty in the School District for one-half (½) day or longer. A guidance 252 counselor who does not teach regular classes shall not be subject to the terms of this provision, but 253 nothing shall prevent the Board or the administration in carrying out its duty under the Public 254 School Code to employ substitute teachers for these positions as well.
