Securing Substitute Teachers. 250 A substitute teacher shall be employed by the District when a full-time professional 251 employee is absent from duty in the School District for one-half (½) day or longer. A guidance 252 counselor who does not teach regular classes shall not be subject to the terms of this provision, but 253 nothing shall prevent the Board or the administration in carrying out its duty under the Public 254 School Code to employ substitute teachers for these positions as well.

  • Substitute Teachers In lieu of salary under the basic salary schedule, the District shall pay to teachers employed on the basis of the teacher being available for service if and when called upon by the District and known as substitute teachers, an allowance of $182.07 per full day of teaching effective September 1, 2007. Half days will be paid at 50 per cent of the full day allowance.

  • Substitute Teaching An adjunct faculty member who is interested in a substitute teaching assignment may be assigned to teach as a substitute in a course section for which the adjunct faculty member is qualified to teach. Each semester an adjunct faculty member may submit to the appropriate Xxxx a written request, on a form provided by the College, which shall indicate his/her willingness and availability to act as a substitute teacher and a reliable means by which to contact the adjunct faculty member on short notice.
