Selection and Implementation. Client acknowledges that it has retained, and will exercise, final decision-making authority and responsibility both for the selection of any investment manager(s) as well as for the implementation of any investment plan or strategy resulting from the services provided under this agreement.
Selection and Implementation. All applicants will submit their proposals to Mitacs directly at least 16 weeks prior to the proposed start of the project. All Award proposals will be peer-reviewed by subject matter experts, with outcomes provided to the applicants within approximately 10-12 weeks of submission. The proposals can be accepted, declined or revisions may be requested. Applicants can submit their research proposal at any time. However, travel to the destination prior to the approval of the award is not permitted and Mitacs is not responsible for any costs incurred before the application is approved. APPENDIX B: GLOBALINK RESEARCH AWARDS (GRA) IMPLEMENTATION PLAN Globalink Research Mobility Exchange for R&D Between Canada and Brazil Participants from Canada and Brazil may participate in this initiative each year, for a period of three years. • Up to 10 senior undergraduate, Master’s or PhD students, and Postdoctoral fellows from Brazil will travel to Canada to work on advanced research projects at eligible Canadian institutions for 12 to 24 weeks. • Up to 10 senior undergraduate, Master’s and PhD students, and Postdoctoral fellows from Canada will travel to Brazil to work on advanced research projects for 12 to 24 weeks. • Araucaria will be responsible for coordinating and promoting the program in State of Parana, including the participation of other Brazilian universities. Mitacs and Araucaria will promote the program, however, it is the responsibility of the Participants and/or professors to find and develop suitable projects. Participants are responsible for identifying a research project that is to take place within a Canadian university or Brazilian university in the State of Parana under the joint supervision of a professor in the same Canadian university and Brazilian university.
