SELECTION FOR VACANCIES. a. When a vacancy occurs and the Library Director or designee elects to permanently fill said vacancy, a written announcement shall be posted. Employees holding regular status in the classification in which the vacancy arises may request to be reassigned to fill said vacancy. The Library Director or designee shall give first consideration to those employees making such requests before considering any other persons for the vacancy.
