Selection of Deans administrators is a duty of the University Board. Such appointments shall only be made after a Search Committee has recommended an appointee to the Board University.

Wherever the President appoints a search committee to assist in filling a xxxx vacancy, at least one (1) member of the committee shall be an adjunct faculty representative appointed by the President from a list of three (3) names submitted by the President of the RIC/AFT Adjunct Faculty Union.

Two (2) Three (3) faculty members elected by the faculty, shall be included, and student member(s) shall be appointed when deemed appropriate. Candidates for the position will not be eligible to serve on such committee. The committee membership may be enlarged when wider representation of interest is desirable. The committee will select its own chairperson.
