Personnel records will be reviewed and, if applicable, corrections or additions will be made and the seniority list will be revised. The Board shall be held harmless for any errors or omissions not reported to the Superintendent by November 30 of each year this contract is in place. E. No later than November 15 of each school year, the Superintendent shall prepare a certification/licensure list which includes the expiration date of all certificates/licenses on file in the Treasurer's office. This certification/licensure list will be based upon information found in the permanent record file of each teacher employed at the time the document is created. A copy of this certification/licensure list shall be given to the Association President. PLEASE NOTE: Maintaining a "current" certificate/license is the sole responsibility of the employee. Instructors shall also be responsible for notifying the Superintendent’s office of any changes relative to their certification/licensure status...i.e. up- grading or adding eligible teaching areas. F. In the event of the expansion of the Career Technical Planning District (CTPD) and the subsequent absorption of vocational units of said district(s) to the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center, the Board of Education will be under no obligation to employ the teacher(s) of said district(s). G. Should the Board of Education choose to employ a teacher from said district, that teacher will be treated as a "new" hire and be subject to the same contract provisions as any other new employee.

SENIORITY PROVISIONS. A. Seniority 11.01 To the extent permitted by law, and consistent with the responsibility of the Board to provide appropriate services of good quality, the principal of seniority shall prevail. 11.02 System seniority shall be defined as the length of employment by an employee with the Board as computed from the employee’s most recent date of hire. Total years of continuous full-time Wellsville service shall not be used for the basis of seniority. Authorized leaves of absence shall not constitute an interruption of continuous service. No later than November 15 of each school year, the Superintendent shall prepare a certification/licensure list which includes the expiration date of all certificates/licenses on file in the Treasurer's office. This certification/licensure list will be based upon information found in the permanent record file of each teacher employed at the time the document is created. A copy of this certification/licensure list shall be given to the Association President. PLEASE NOTE: Maintaining a "current" certificate/license is the sole responsibility of the employee. In the event of the expansion of the Career Technical Planning District (CTPD) and the subsequent absorption of vocational units of said district(s) to the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center, the Board of Education will be under no obligation to employ the teacher(s) of said district(s). G. Should the Board of Education choose to employ a teacher from said district, that teacher will be treated as a "new" hire and be subject to the same contract provisions as any other new employee.

SENIORITY PROVISIONS. A. Seniority shall will be defined as based on the length of the employ- ee’s continuous full-time service, service with the Company. PROBATIONARY PERIOD A new employee will be considered on probation and will not be placed on the seniority list until he has actually completed sixty days of work for the Company in a period of six consecutive months and his seniority shall commence to accrue from the date he actually commenced to work for the Com- pany as a teacher bargaining unit employee. The provisions of this sub-section shall apply only to employees hired on a permanent basis. They shall not apply to employees hired on a temporary basis to replace employees on the permanent staff who may be absent due to illness, leave of absence, or for other le- gitimate reasons, nor will they apply to persons tem- porarily hired to meet some emergency. The employ- ment of persons hired as temporary employees shall not ninety days of work unless extended by mutual consent of the parties hereto. Such temporary employees shall have no seniority, nor shall their probationary periods commence until such time as they are confirmed in what is consid- ered a permanent assignment. PREFERENTIAL SENIORITY Notwithstanding their ordinary status under the pro- visions of this article, departmental stewards of the Union and Union committee members during their respective terms of office, but not otherwise, shall enjoy top seniority in their own departments for the purpose of layoff and recall. SENIORITY PROVISIONS. A. SENIORITY PROVISIONS. A. 19.01 An employee will be considered probationary for the first ninety (90) working days accumulated over a six (6) month period and will have no seniority rights during this ninety (90) working day period. This probationary period may be extended by mutual written agreement between the Company and the Union. During such probationary period, the employee shall have no seniority rights.
