Sessional Faculty Appointments. (A) Persons appointed to Sessional faculty Appointments are subject to the following clauses in Article 13: 13.03 (A), (B) (i), (C), (D); 13.06 (A), (C), (D); 13.07; 13.08; 13.10 (A), (B); 13.11; and 13.12. Except for those clauses in Article 13 and Articles 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 16 (which applies insofar as it expressly states it applies to Sessional faculty), 19, 20, 21, 24, 25 (which applies insofar as it expressively states it applies to Sessional faculty), 27, 28, 29, 38, and 39; Clauses 30.02 and 30.03 (both of which apply to those holidays which fall within the duration of the Sessional Appointments); Clause 32.05 (C); and Appendices “B”, “D” and “H”, the rest of the provisions of this Agreement shall not apply.

Sessional Faculty Appointments. (a) Appointments Sessional Faculty Contract appointments are temporary instructional faculty appointments made for one or more course offerings on a term by term contract basis. Sessional faculty who have worked a minimum ¾ workload over a full year in one position in one department, and who are offered a Type B contract for the same position in the same department immediately consecutive to their current contract will have the student evaluations from that year’s teaching entered into their file. These evaluations plus the student evaluations from the first year of the Type B probationary period will satisfy the student evaluation requirement for the existing Type B probationary process.

  • Visiting Appointments A "visiting" appointment is one made to a person having appropriate professional qualifications but not expected to be available for more than a limited period, or to a person in a position which the University does not expect to be available for more than a limited period. A visiting appointment may be offered in single or multi-year appointments not to exceed a total of four (4) consecutive years.

  • Non-Promotive Appointment 254. An employee or officer who is a permanent appointee following completion of the probationary period or 2,080 hours of permanent service, and who accepts a non-promotive appointment in a classification having the same salary grade, or a lower salary grade, the appointee shall enter the new position at that salary step which is the same as that received in the prior appointment, or if the salary steps do not match, then the salary step which is immediately in excess of that received in the prior appointment, provided that such salary shall not exceed the maximum of the salary grade. Further increments shall be based upon the seniority increment anniversary date in the prior appointment.

  • Adjunct Appointments The use of adjuncts at a university shall, upon the request of the UFF Chapter representatives, be a subject of consultation under the provisions of Article 2.1, Consultation.

  • Term Appointments 16.3.4.1 A Term appointment carries no implication of renewal or continuation beyond the contractually limited term. A person holding a Term appointment may apply for a Probationary or Continuing appointment if such a position is available.

  • Initial Appointments The Company appoints the Trustee as the initial Paying Agent, the initial Registrar and the initial Conversion Agent.
