Reappointments. At least three (3) months prior to the completion of an employee’s initial probationary appointment to a Type B contract position, the employee will be advised of reappointment and the terms thereof, or will be advised that reappointment will not be made. A reappointment to a Type B contract position subsequent to the initial probationary period may be made for: (i) A continuing appointment without term; or (ii) A further one (1) year probationary period, during which period the employee has complete access to the grievance procedure. 1. At the time of notification of appointment to a second probationary period the Employer shall provide written notice to the employee of cause for concern about the employee's performance, in order that the employee may have the opportunity for assistance to improve his or her performance. 2. In the case of a final probationary period, the employee shall be advised at least two (2) months’ prior to the end of the period of his or her reappointment and the terms thereof, or will be advised that the appointment will not be continued. 3. There shall be no more than two (2) probationary periods.
Reappointments. No appointment shall create any right, interest, or expectancy in any other appointment beyond its specific term. Upon written request, the UFF-USF- GAU shall be provided information regarding established guidelines for graduate assistant appointments. When appointed, employees shall be provided with criteria concerning reappointment.
Reappointments. A probationary appointee must undergo an annual performance review in accordance with Articles 27 (Duties of Department Chairs and Centre Directors) and 35 (Performance Review) where the faculty member is advised whether their performance meets the expectations of the Agreement, and if not what adjustments are required.
Reappointments. (i) In the event that the work being performed by an employee with a Type C Contract appointment will continue beyond the end of the specified term of the appointment, or the end of the maximum twelve (12) month limitation, the Employer shall offer reappointment to the same employee for the purpose of completing the same work unless evaluation results are unsatisfactory. (ii) Failure to reappoint to a subsequent Type C Contract for which the employee is qualified and has the most seniority is grievable. Failure to continue an appointment or to reappoint may occur only when the employee has received unfavourable evaluation reports as in ARTICLE 13: (EVALUATION), or if the probationary employee has been laid off or dismissed prior to the end of the period of his or her probationary appointment. During the final probationary period, dismissal or layoff will occur only for just and reasonable cause, and will be accompanied by immediate written notice to the probationary employee stating the reasons for and nature of the action.
Reappointments. Assistant Professor‌ 27.1 An Assistant Professor who holds an appointment with eligibility for Tenure is eligible for Reappointment for a term that does not extend beyond the year in which the Faculty Member must formally be considered for Tenure. 27.2 An Assistant Professor is evaluated for Reappointment on the basis of: a) Teaching effectiveness since being appointed to the University; b) Research and scholarly achievements during their career; and c) Service and professional activities since being appointed to the University. 27.3 An Assistant Professor under consideration for Reappointment must demonstrate that the candidate is making reasonable progress toward meeting the written expectations of their Unit with regard to the granting of Tenure and Promotion to Associate Professor rank. 27.4 Where an application for Reappointment by an Assistant Professor with eligibility for Tenure is unsuccessful, the Faculty Member will be offered a terminal appointment for one year. Assistant Teaching Professor‌ 27.5 An Assistant Teaching Professor is eligible to be reappointed for a term of four years. 27.6 An Assistant Teaching Professor is evaluated for Reappointment on the basis of: a) Teaching effectiveness; b) Scholarly Activity; and
Reappointments. 20.7.1 In accordance with Subsection 20.3.1, 20.4.1, 20.4.2, 20.4.3, the LPC shall make recommendations on reappointments and continuing appointments in conformity with Section 20.12, Timelines. The LPC shall forward its recommendations in writing to the DOL. After considering the LPC recommendation and relevant materials, the DOL shall forward their recommendation and the recommendation of the LPC to the Xxxxxxx. Copies of the recommendations shall be sent to the librarian and the LPC at the same time they are sent to the next level of review. A copy of the Xxxxxxx’x decision shall be sent to the librarian and the LPC.

Reappointments. An employee re-employed by the District in the same classified position after a break in service of less than one (1) year may be eligible to receive the same salary step placement he/she would have received had the break not occurred. An employee re-employed in a different classified position after any break in service or to the same classified position after a break in service of one (1) year or more will be compensated in the same manner as a new employee. (Ed. Code 88128).
Reappointments through the first four years of full-time-equivalent service shall be at the discretion of the Xxxx with the recommendation of the Chair/Head, who shall consider such factors as performance, need for the individual’s services, and availability of funding. Non-reappointment within the first four years of full-time- equivalent service shall not be grievable. Reappointment beyond the fourth year of full-time-equivalent service shall be a continuing appointment as specified in Section 21.9.2 below.
