Common use of Settlement of Grievances Clause in Contracts

Settlement of Grievances. 8.01 The Company and the Union agree that grievances should be adjusted as quickly as possible in the manner set out herein and without suspension, interruption or disruption of the normal operations of the Company. 8.02 A "grievance" shall mean a dispute concerning the interpretation, application or alleged violation of the provisions of this Agreement, or in the case of a non-probationary employee, a complaint that he or she has been disciplined or discharged without just cause. 8.03 The term "days" whenever used in this Article shall mean working days, other than Saturdays, Sundays or a paid holiday as referred to in Article 17. 8.04 An xxxxxxx effort shall be made to settle grievances properly arising under this Agreement in the following manner:
