Other Vacancies. An employee laid off or about to be laid off may open any employment register for which he/she is eligible for the purpose of establishing qualifications for any State position. The placement on class registers and certification procedures for employees on layoff shall be treated as promotional in all cases, regardless of the pay grade of the class for which the employee is applying.
Other Vacancies. (a) If Xxxxxxxx, Spectrum or Alta ceases to have the right to designate a director pursuant to Section 4.1, such party shall promptly cause the director designated by it to resign if so requested by Pagon (or, in the event of his death or incapacity, by PCLP or another person appointed for Pagon for this purpose), except that in case of the loss pursuant to Section 4.1(a)(1) or of the right of Xxxxxxxx to designate a director, as the case may be, which also results in the termination of this Agreement pursuant to Section 4.3, such party shall cause the director designated by it to resign not later than the date on which this Agreement terminates.
(b) Failing any resignation required by subsection (a), the affected director or directors may be removed in the manner provided by law.
(c) If a vacancy occurs in the Board of Directors by reason of any required resignation or permitted removal described in subsection (a) or (b), the Board of Directors (as constituted after giving effect to such vacancy) shall either (1) reduce the number of directors to eliminate the vacancy or (2) instruct the Nominating Committee to nominate an Independent Director to fill the vacancy.
(d) The size of the Board of Directors may be increased as provided by law. Each director elected to fill any position created by an increase in the size of the Board of Directors shall be an Independent Director.
(e) No party to this Agreement will take any action to fill a vacancy created under this Section 3.3 by a person who is not an Independent Director. Otherwise, Section
2.1 shall not apply to the election of directors to fill vacancies created under this Section 3.3.
Other Vacancies. 55. Vacancies or new positions that occur subsequent to any adjustments made in July and/or August or due to compliance with the language of this Agreement shall be adequately publicized by postings in each school and department, and filled within forty-five (45) days of the occurrence of said vacancy, except that actual assumption of duties by a teacher who has been selected to fill the posted position may be deferred by action of the Board until the next succeeding opening of school if, in the view of the Board, immediate assumption of duties would cause undue disruption of the education program. This will be deemed a “paper transfer” for the remainder of the school year.

Other Vacancies. All new routes, open routes or other vacancies, whether temporary or permanent, will be posted. The vacancies will be posted on the third Tuesday of each month beginning in October and continuing throughout the school year up to and including May. The notice of vacancy will be posted on the Company notice/information board. It will remain posted for a period of three (3) working days (Tuesday 12:00pm to Friday at 12:00pm). In addition, dispatch will announce the vacancy in a zone on both the first and last day of the posting. The posted notice of vacancy will include the following information; • Permanent or temporary position • Zone • Route number • School(s) • Start time and end time • Type of vehicle (fuel type, single or dual wheel) • License requirements
Other Vacancies a. Any staff member desiring a change in grade, subject, or building assignment for the upcoming year will file the written request by April 15th with the Superintendent.
b. During the summer a person designated by the Association will supply an address of record to which notification of existing vacancies will be mailed.
c. For positions becoming vacant during summer vacation, employees may file a letter requesting consideration should a position open. This letter must contain the following information:
1. Position desired
2. Summer address
3. Summer telephone number
Other Vacancies. All vacancies in the cafeteria, building secretary, or custodial department which the Board intends to fill will be posted within five (5) days of the date the previous employee is removed from the payroll. The position will be posted for ten (10) working days. Employees will apply within this posting period. The vacancy will be awarded according to the following criteria:
Other Vacancies. When there are no bids within the classification for a lateral transfer to fill a vacancy, the position will be filled in accordance with Company policy by qualified applicants. When qualified applicants include Employees from within the scope of this Agreement, those Employees will be interviewed and will be given preferential consideration over applicants from outside the scope of this Agreement. Any selection which includes applicants from outside the scope of the Agreement is subject to review through the grievance process.
Other Vacancies. A. Vacancies for the upcoming school year which occur between June 19th and the commencement of the next school year may be filled by mutual consent transfers 19:14 or by ‘new hires’ provided there are no surplus or redundant Teachers within the Board and all requests for increases of employment from current LBU members pursuant to Article 19:06 have been met.
B. Vacancies which occur during the school year (September 1 to June 30) and not filled by mutual consent transfers shall be filled on an interim basis by permanent new hires and such positions shall be advertised in accordance with this article prior to the subsequent school year. Such permanent new hires whose positions are so advertised shall be declared surplus and shall be placed in an existing vacancy in accordance with Article 19:11.
C. Any vacancies that are realized after March 31st shall be filled by an Occasional Teacher until the end of the school year. Such vacancy will be posted in accordance with Article 19:11.
Other Vacancies. When a vacancy is created in any Maintenance job class and the Metro decides to fill the position, the position will be posted for internal bid and a new temporary employee may be hired to fill the position until the bid and award process is completed. Preference will be given in order to the Maintenance Seniority District employees, Operations Seniority District employees, and other Union seniority district employees over any new hire. If the vacancy is not filled
(a) Provisions applicable to other than Class 1A jobs: If within five (5) calendar days the first bidder withdraws the bid, or within five (5) calendar days, after working on the job, the employee withdraws from the job or disqualifies himself from the job or is disqualified from the job as provided for otherwise in this Agreement, the employee will be returned to his former position. The second bidder in the same bid package will be awarded the job and this process will be continued until the job is filled permanently or no further bidders are available in the same bid package. It is understood that if the employee withdraws from the job or disqualifies himself from the job, or is disqualified from the job, it will count as one (1) of the two (2) job awards as outlined in this Agreement. It is understood that if an employee was previously qualified to perform the duties of the classification, he may not disqualify himself nor may he be disqualified. When an employee bids on and is awarded a vacancy which is out of his seniority district receiving a lower base rate of pay, he will not be allowed to bid back after a five (5) day disqualification period.
