Sewage Debris Removal. As part of the planning process it is assumed that a certain percentage of the City of Lancaster sewer system will be damaged and the City will have to provide the residents with options to dispose of their waste. The Contractor shall furnish port-a-xxxxx in the affected areas. However, depending on the size of the disaster event and disruption to the transportation infrastructure residents may have to bag their waste for a period of time. Under this contract, work shall consist of all labor, equipment, fuel, traffic control costs, and other associated costs necessary for the removal, transportation, and lawful disposal of sewage in areas identified and approved by the City of Lancaster to an approved final disposal site. The Contractor shall provide an appropriate number of centralized collection containers for the safe disposal of sewage waste for each affected area. The sewage shall be hauled to a City of Lancaster approved staging area and subsequently disposed of by the appropriate regulatory agency. The Contractor will coordinate activities with the appropriate LA County Sewer District for the removal, transportation, and disposal of sewage includes obtaining all necessary Local, State, and Federal Handling Permits and operating in accordance with all Local, State, and Federal regulations. Sanitary waste can be delivered to the Lancaster treatment plant’s septic dump station as long as the facility has not been impacted by the same or related disaster. If the Lancaster facility is out of service then the city can use any of the Sanitation Districts’ septic dump stations throughout Los Angeles County (Lancaster, Saugus, Pomona and Xxxxxx). Only sanitary wastes can be accepted. No industrial or commercial wastes can be accepted. Only sanitary wastes can be accepted at the Districts’ dump stations, and no mixed plastics of any kind can be accepted, any bags would have to be removed. All trucks using the Districts dump station facilities must be permitted with the Districts. Permitted haulers can use any of the City’s disposal stations.

  • Graffiti Removal Graffiti is detrimental to the health, safety and welfare of the community in that it promotes a perception in the community that the laws protecting public and private property can be disregarded with impunity. This perception fosters a sense of disrespect of the law that results in an increase in crime; degrades the community and leads to urban blight; is detrimental to property values, business opportunities and the enjoyment of life; is inconsistent with the City’s property maintenance goals and aesthetic standards; and results in additional graffiti and in other properties becoming the target of graffiti unless it is quickly removed from public and private property. Graffiti results in visual pollution and is a public nuisance. Graffiti must be abated as quickly as possible to avoid detrimental impacts on the City and County and its residents, and to prevent the further spread of graffiti.

  • Trash Removal The Licensee shall remove trash from the Cafeteria anytime that waste canisters are full or not less than once after every meal; whichever is greater. Any alteration to this provision must be directed in writing by the Licensing Officer.
