Shift Employees’ Work Week. The standard work week for employees working continuous shifts shall be in accordance with the Shift Schedule attached to this Agreement, which provides for two (2), twelve (12) hour shifts per day, seven (7) days per week. This schedule shall be effective during the life of the Agreement.

Shift Employees’ Work Week. The standard work week for employees’ working continuous shifts shall be in accordance with the Shift Schedule attached to this Agreement, which provides for two (2), twelve (12) hour shifts per day, seven (7) days per week. This Schedule to be effective during the life of this Agreement. Note: For non-continuous shifts, unless otherwise agreed, shift workers will be assigned to eight (8) hour shifts. Definition: A non-continuous shift is a shift other than day shift that does not operate twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days per week. (e) For calculation purposes, the week for continuous shift employees shall be considered as the seven (7) consecutive days beginning at 00:01 A.M.

  • Project Employment 1. The Employer may appoint employees into project positions for which employment is contingent upon state, federal, local, grant, or other special funding of specific and of time-limited duration. The Employer will notify the employees, in writing, of the expected ending date of the project employment.

  • Shift Employees Employees who work rotating shift patterns or those who work qualifying shifts shall be entitled, on completion of 12 months employment on shift work, to up to an additional 5 days annual leave, based on the number of qualifying shifts worked. The entitlement will be calculated on the annual leave anniversary date. Qualifying shifts are defined as a shift which involves at least 2 hours work performed outside the hours of 8.00am to 5.00pm, excluding overtime.   • Cyclic Year Employment The Employer may fill a position with a cyclic year appointment for positions scheduled to work less than twelve (12) full months each year, due to known, recurring periods in the annual cycle when the position is not needed. At least fifteen (15) days before the start of each annual cycle, incumbents of cyclic year positions will be informed, in writing, of their scheduled periods of leave without pay in the ensuing cycle. Such periods of leave without pay will not constitute a break in service. When additional work is required of a cyclic position during a period for which the position was scheduled for leave without pay, the temporary work will be offered to the incumbent. The incumbent will be allowed at least three (3) working days in which to accept or decline the offer. Should the incumbent decline the work, it will be offered to other cyclic employees, in the same classification, with the necessary skills and abilities, in order of seniority, before being filled by other means.

  • Contract Employee Check this option when the Department requires a renewal or other amendment to the performance of a Contract Employee.

  • Overtime-Eligible Employees Employees who are covered by the overtime provisions of state and federal law.

  • Contractor Employee Conduct The Contractor’s employees shall adhere to the standards of conduct prescribed in the Customer’s personnel policy and procedure guidelines, particularly rules of conduct, security procedures, and any other applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the Customer. The Contractor shall ensure that the Contractor’s employees wear attire suitable for the position, either a standard uniform or business casual dress.

  • School Year Employment If an employee is employed on the basis of a school year and such employment contemplates absences from the State payroll during the summer months or vacation periods scheduled by the Appointing Authority which occur during the regular school year, the employee shall nonetheless remain eligible for an Employer Contribution, provided that the employee appears on the regular payroll for at least one (1) working day in the payroll period immediately preceding such absences.
