Common use of Short Changeover Clause in Contracts

Short Changeover. (a) If shifts are scheduled so that there are not twenty-four (24) hours between the start of an Employee’s shift and the start of the next shift, overtime rates apply to hours worked on the succeeding shift within the twenty-four (24) hour period. (b) In Campus Food Services and Continuing Education, where there is no Friday evening operation, this short-shift changeover shall be twenty (20) hours instead of the twenty-four (24) hours as specified in Article 14.4(a).
