Common use of Sick Leave Limitations Clause in Contracts

Sick Leave Limitations. Payment shall not be given for unused sick leave upon termination of employment. The use of sick leave is limited to those activities described in Section 1 of this Article. An employee shall not be permitted to utilize sick leave for the purpose of engaging in gainful employment, nor to attend school, while absent because of illness or injury if it is in conflict with the purposes or interests of the Employer. During hours of paid sick leave, any outside employment must be approved in writing by the President/CEO or his/her designee.
