SICK LEAVE - PLAN A. 1) Effective August 1, 2003, employees who qualify for benefits shall be eligible for a total of seven (7) sick day credits per calendar year. Accumulation or carry-over from previous years is not permitted. 2) Employees on payroll as at July 31, 2003 shall retain sick days accrued up to August 1, 2003 under the previous plan (i.e. one and one quarter (1 ¼) days earned per month worked, less sick days used, up to a maximum 250 days). 3) Employees can use the sick leave credits they have accumulated prior to August 1, 2003 only after they have exhausted their seven (7) sick days per year entitlement under the new sick leave plan to bridge them to the threshold for coverage under the Long Term Disability Plan (i.e. Plan C). Employees shall be entitled to use two hours from their sick leave bank to attend a doctor’s appointment in the local area (Lucky Lake or Birsay) and four hours for a doctor’s appointment outside the local area. Employees shall be entitled to choose to take the balance of the day off as vacation or leave without pay when attending a doctor’s appointment if it is outside of the local area (Lucky Lake and Xxxxxx). Doctors will be defined as General Practitioners, Dentists, Optometrists and referrals from any of the above.

SICK LEAVE - PLAN A. 1. For the period up to and including December 31, 2010, employees shall earn and accumulate sick leave credits on the basis of one and one-quarter (1 1/4) days per month of continuous service from commencement of employment. Maximum accumulative sick leave credits shall be two hundred and fifty (250) working days. Effective August January 1, 20032011, employees this new clause shall apply: Employees who qualify for benefits shall be eligible for a total of seven (7) sick day leave credits per calendar year, which shall be granted to the employees on January 1 of each year, plus any grandfathered sick leave credits accumulated up to and including December 31, 2010. Accumulation or On December 31, 2010, the company will credit 3 additional days to all employees sick leave to be grandfathered into the new plan. Upon implementation of the new plan effective January 1, 2011, with the exception of grandfathered sick leave credits, accumulation and/or carry-over of sick leave credits, from previous years is years, will not be permitted. Employees will be required to use the annual 7 sick leave days prior to using any grandfathered sick leave credits.
