Charge for Sick Leave. Sick leave shall be charged in minimum units of one-half (.5) hour. Employees shall be charged for sick leave only for days upon which they would otherwise have been scheduled to work. Sick leave payment shall not exceed the normal scheduled work day or work week earnings.

Charge for Sick Leave. If an employee performs his/her duties for part of a working day, he/she shall be credited with those hours worked, and charged sick leave only for those hours not worked by reason of illness or injury. Sick leave shall be charged to the nearest one- quarter hour.

Accrued personal days, non-use of sick leave, wellness leave, incentive days, vacation, holidays, and work reduction days shall be drawn upon in the event an employee is ill and has exhausted all of his/her current, HP 21-C, and HP 20-D sick leave hours.
