Special Duty Pay. 1. When the Fire Chief assigns employees on off days for Special Duty, they shall be compensated in cash at a straight time rate computed on the basis of the employees' hourly rate of pay for the average work week in effect as established under the HOURS OF WORK provision of this Agreement.
