Special Exemptions. 9.2.1 It is intended that the operation of the Arrangement in respect of the areas set out in paragraph 9.1.3 be delayed while Cooperation Programmes are undertaken. To achieve this, a 12 month Special Exemption will apply from the Date of Commencement of the Arrangement to the laws which underpin the regulatory controls in the areas referred to in paragraph 9. 1.3, and which are specified in the Annexes. A list of the laws for which Special Exemption will apply is at Schedule 3.

Special Exemptions. The Parties shall be exempted from the above confidentiality obligations under the following circumstances:
Special Exemptions. On each and every nationwide or statewide election day, excluding primaries and school elections, all employees over eighteen (18) years of age, shall be allowed one (1) hour off from their normal duties for the purpose of casting their vote in said election. The decision as to which hour an employee shall be entitled to take off for the above-stated exemption shall be made by the department head or the immediate supervisor if the department head is not available. Necessary travel time may be included in the approved time off for voting if the employee is prevented by his/her supervisor from voting either at the start or end of the shift on that particular day.
