Special Session. The program offers 2 different schedules dependent on availability at time of enrollment: one weekday (9:00am-5:30pm) and one weekend day (9:00am-5:30pm) or two evenings (6:00pm-10:00pm) and one weekend day (9:00am-5:30pm). A minimum of 8 students is required to start a group. I am aware that, in addition to the class hours listed in the Weekly Program Schedule, there is a graduation requirement of 130 Student Massage Clinic hours (with a minimum of 82 clients), 28 Student Chair Massage hours, 10 Acupressure/TuiNa Internship hours, and other out-of-class hands-on practice including homework time for which I am responsible. I understand class schedules vary depending on availability at time of enrollment. I understand that I can expect to invest a minimum of 36 hours each week in the East-West Healing Arts Institute Asian Bodywork and Therapeutic Massage™ program. I am aware that Student Massage Clinic hours are scheduled on Tuesdays (2:00 pm to 8:00), Thursdays (2:00 pm to 8:00 pm), Saturdays or Sundays (10:00 am to 4:00 pm) but that I will not be expected to hold Student Massage Clinic hours during my regularly schedule class time. I understand that Student Chair Massage, and internship hours are variable. Student Chair Massage are scheduled events and students sign-up for individual events. Special Session. Including People with Disabilities in Disaster Preparedness and Response • Context The Executive Secretariat recalled that following the adoption of the Ethical Principles on Disaster Risk Reduction and People’s Resilience in 2011, the Committee decided in 2012 to focus part of the Agreement’s future work on addressing the issues related to most vulnerable groups, such as disabled people, displaced people and children. Such a choice appears quite promising as up till now disabilities have not very often been taken into account in disaster risk reduction and furthermore the issue is in line with the overall priorities of the Council of Europe. A survey to identify what has been done to date on that topic was launched by sending a questionnaire to the Permanent Correspondents. The evaluation of the results by two eminent experts, Xxxx. Xxxxx Xxxxxxxxx and Xx Xxxxxx Xxxxxxxxx, showed the lack of actual initiatives in that domain and led them to define some guidelines to promote disability inclusiveness in disaster risk reduction. The subject is important enough to merit more than a Recommendation and the Agreement will continue to work on it through the setting up of a Working Group to identify concrete associated actions. The involvement of disabled people themselves is important in such a process as they can contribute actively to providing solutions: a co-operation with Civil Protection authorities is needed to avoid them having less rights than other people. In the meantime, more political advocacy will be continued through a proposal to include this topic as an important component of the future HFA2. Within the Council of Europe, cooperation will be continued with the Social Cohesion and Integration Division (Directorate of Human Rights and Antidiscrimination, Directorate General of Democracy), whose Action Plan has so far largely ignored this specific issue.
