Class Schedules. Teachers presenting K-12 telecommunications classes to elementary or secondary- aged students will generally have those classes scheduled during regular contract work time. It is recognized that in order to accommodate the different starting/ending times of originating/receiving districts that work times may vary somewhat. If classes are scheduled outside the normal workday or work year, teachers will have their individual starting and/or ending time adjusted. If additional work time is required to accommodate the schedules of sending/receiving districts, the teacher shall be compensated at a pro rata of his/her base contract daily rate of pay calculated for each ¼ hour or portion thereof.
Class Schedules. It is understood that faculty members and the college administration shall work collaboratively in the development of schedules. Schedules for each faculty member shall be developed by that faculty member in consultation with the college president or designee, and submitted to the college administration for approval and, if approved, consolidated into a master schedule. In the case of multi-faculty programs and/or disciplines, the faculty member(s) shall first work in consultation with the administration and each other to develop schedules prior to submission to the college administration for approval. The administratively-approved schedule shall be provided to the faculty member in writing and shall include an itemization of all equated credit assignments.
Class Schedules. Individual teacher schedules within buildings shall be made by the building principal after receiving input from, and if desired by the teacher consultation with, the teacher.
Class Schedules. The class schedule for teaching Faculty Members shall be published by May 15th for the succeeding Fall semester and by November 15th for the succeeding Spring semester. Said schedule shall include each Faculty Member’s individual teaching schedule and such other professional commitments as are generally applicable to the bargaining unit’s members. The schedule shall include dates and times. Nothing contained in this Section shall be deemed to limit the right of the Employer to schedule Faculty Members or the right of the Employer to amend schedules after the dates set forth above to meet the needs of the Colleges and to respond to enrollment demand or the lack thereof.
Class Schedules. If scheduling of classes within a program needs to be altered for 28 reasons other than a change in enrollment or availability of classroom space, such changes 29 shall be communicated to the impacted Extension Lecturers with at least two (2) weeks of 30 advanced notice prior to the change.
Class Schedules. Class schedules, hours of instruction, etc., are recognized as administrative and Board of Education prerogative as outlined in Article 2 of the Contract.
Class Schedules. Department Chairs shall meet their classes as scheduled except as provided in the following:
1. A change in the time and/or location of more than a single class shall be approved in advance by a Department Chair’s School Xxxx.
2. A permanent change in the meeting time(s) or locations of a class shall be approved in advance by the Department Chair’s School Xxxx and the Vice President for Faculty and Academic Affairs.
Class Schedules. The Board shall have the right to conduct either eight (8) period class schedules or block class schedules under the terms and conditions described below in Sections E and F. If the Board plans to change the schedule or schedules from one year to the next year, the Board shall notify the Association in writing not later than May 1st of the schedule or schedules it plans to conduct during the subsequent school year.
Class Schedules. Classes should be conducted in a manner consistent with the policies, schedules and deadlines established and published by the appropriate administrative offices. Changes in the scheduled classroom and/or class meeting times must be approved by the Xxxx and by the Associate Vice President and University Registrar.
Class Schedules. 5.10.1 In establishing class schedules, Division Deans shall attempt to achieve schedules that equitably distribute the number of class preparations that faculty members must do for lecture or laboratory classes. The District will make a reasonable effort to establish assignments requiring no more than three (3) preparations.
5.10.2 To the fullest extent practicable, Division Deans shall solicit and consider faculty requests prior to establishing both the proposed and final class schedules. Additional consultation with affected faculty shall be attempted whenever schedule changes must be made after publication of the final class schedule.
5.10.3 The District may permit the scheduling of classes or assignments in less than a five-day period when such scheduling is appropriate and in the best interest of the instructional program and is requested by the faculty member.
5.10.4 When establishing Intersessions and hourly/daily teaching schedules, Division Deans shall consider the qualifications, training and experience of the persons available to teach a class, and among instructors for whom these factors are substantially equal, contract instructors shall receive preference for such assignments and reasonable attempts shall be made to equitably distribute such assignments.
a. Intersession teaching assignments may not exceed the semester equivalent to 67% of a full-time faculty member’s load during the primary term (Fall/Spring) unless approved by the Vice-President of Instruction.
b. Intersession Hourly Paid Faculty – Credit and Non-credit. Payment for Board- approved or legal holidays is authorized for each Intersession’s credit classes if these classes would normally be scheduled on those days. In any case the maximum number of hours to be contracted will be equivalent to the hours per week the class would meet in a regular semester. Payment for the July 4 holiday is authorized for non-credit classes if those classes would normally be scheduled on that day.
5.10.5 The District will make an effort to avoid faculty schedules that include consecutive late night and early morning class assignments or early morning and late night assignments on the same day.
5.10.6 The assignment of independent study students to unit members will be on a completely voluntary basis.
