Split Shifts19. 05 Split Shifts Split shifts will not extend beyond twelve (12) hours immediately following commencement of work. Full time employees hired before February 1st, 1982 will not be required to work split shifts.

  • Split Shifts No shift shall be split for a period longer than the regularly scheduled meal and rest periods as provided for in Article 14.08.

  • Split Shift Except as otherwise provided in subsection B. below, any employee required to work a split shift shall be paid at a rate of five percent over and above his/her regular straight-time hourly rate of pay for the entire number of hours so worked. For purposes of this subsection "split shift" is defined as any eight hour daily tour of duty taking more than nine and one-half consecutive hours to complete.

  • No Split Shifts With the exception of the meal period, an employee's shift for the day shall be comprised of consecutive hours of work unless otherwise mutually agreed to between the employee and the Co-operative.

  • Split Vacations Where an employee wishes to split her vacation, her second choice of vacation time shall be made only after all other employees concerned have made their initial selection.

  • Rotating Shifts Nurses required to work rotating shifts (days, evenings and nights) shall be scheduled in such a way as to equitably as possible assign the rotation. This does not preclude a Nurse from being continuously assigned to an evening or night shift if the Nurse and the Employer mutually agree to such an arrangement.

  • Mourner's Leave One (1) day's leave shall be granted without loss of pay or wages to attend a funeral as a pallbearer.

  • Hour Shifts When the Employer deems it necessary to implement a twelve (12) hour work day, affected employees shall be notified pursuant to Clause 14.05. The following Clauses shall be replaced or added to the Collective Agreement where appropriate.

  • Extra Shifts Where an employee agrees to work or is required by the Employer to work a shift(s) or portion thereof, in excess of the employee’s scheduled work week, the employee will receive pay at the rate of one and one‐half (1½) times the employee’s regular hourly rate for such excess hours worked, with a minimum of three (3) hours at the rate of one and one‐half (1½) times the employee’s regular rate of pay.

  • JOB SHARING 20.01 Job sharing is defined as an arrangement whereby two or more nurses share the hours of work of what would otherwise be one full-time position. If the Hospital and the Union agree to a job sharing arrangement, the introduction or discontinuance of such job sharing arrangements will be determined locally.

  • Shifts In the Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, the Agency may schedule nursing personnel on a rotational shift basis for a temporary period during the opening of new facilities. The Agency shall not schedule any employee to rotate more than two (2) different shifts in any four (4) week scheduling period. Exceptions may be mutually agreed to by the parties. In the other Agencies, shifts shall not be rotated unless mutually agreed to by the parties.
