Shared Positions. Employees who are in shared positions shall be paid on a proportion of the salary rate that they would have been paid had they been employed full-time, excluding any allowances to which they would otherwise have been entitled.
Shared Positions. Section 1. A shared position is defined as two properly licensed teachers performing duties required for one full time position. The provisions of Articles X and XI shall apply to shared position teachers.
Section 2. A teacher or teachers who are teaching under a continuous contract and who are teaching full time may request to be employed in a shared
Section 3. The sharing of a full time position shall be subject to annual review by the immediate supervisor. The supervisor will submit his/her recommendation for the continuance or discontinuance of the shared position to the superintendent. Final decision on the continuance of the shared position will be made by the School District.
Section 4. Tenured teachers with a prior full time contract in District 876 shall be reinstated upon an opening to their original positions or to positions of similar statute, conditions and pay by giving written notice of their intent to return to full time employment no later than February 1, prior to the school year in which they intend to return.
Subd. 1. Teachers with no prior full time contract with the district must make application for any full time position as a vacancy arises and be considered with all other applicants for that position.
Section 5. Seniority shall be accrued as defined in Article XIII.
Section 6. Fringe benefits are subject to the provision of Article VIII, Section 8.
Section 7. Shared position teachers shall advance one step on the salary schedule after working 1472 hours of service in the School District. Individual contracts will be modified to reflect qualified lane changes two times each year. Requests for modification of contracts shall be submitted in writing to the superintendent no later than September 20 effective for the full contract year and February 1 effective for the second half of the contract year.
Section 8. Shared positions shall be eligible for paid absences as defined in Article IX on a pro-rated basis as determined by the percentage of their contract.
Section 9. Shared position teachers shall be eligible for leaves of absence as defined in Article IX.
Section 10. Notwithstanding the voluntary request or agreement of participating teachers to share a position, a shared assignment shall not be allowed if it would result in the placement of unrequested leave of a teacher who would not otherwise have been so placed.
Shared Positions. 1. Two (2) employees may agree to share one (1) full-time position with the approval of the Superintendent or his/her designee.
2. Salary and fringe benefits shall be pro-rated to equal the percentage of the contract worked.
3. Employees in shared positions must agree to accept full-time employment in the event the other employee in the shared time position terminates employment.
4. The participating employees must agree to share the position for the entire school year.
5. An unpaid leave of absence shall not be available by one employee without the consent of the partner assuming the full-time position.
6. The position shall be reviewed by all parties in the spring for the continuation for the following school year.
7. If the partnership is dissolved by any party, both partners shall be given full-time positions in accordance with the seniority provision of the Master Agreement provided that it does not result in layoff of an on-staff teacher.
8. The Employer shall have sole discretion not subject to grievance procedure, to accept or reject proposed shared time.
Shared Positions. Employees, who elect, with the approval of the administration, to share the responsibilities of co-curricular positions, shall share the pay for the co-curricular position as they mutually agree in writing.
Shared Positions. Teachers, including those returning from leaves of absence, may share positions, provided they obtain the prior approval of the appropriate principal, supervisor or designee, and notification to the Division of Human Resources is made pursuant to the provisions defined in Article 14, Job Share Procedures. Timelines for application shall be consistent with the deadlines as defined in Article 14, Job Share Procedures. Any alleged violation of the policy on job share procedures is not subject to grievance arbitration.
Shared Positions. All shared positions:
(i) Employees shall earn full seniority, have full rights under the collective agreement and shall be entitled to benefits as set out in the agreement, except that the City's cost for premiums for benefits covered in article 27.02 (Medical Services Plan, MSA Extended Health, and MSA Dental Plan) shall not exceed the cost of one full-time employee on those plans;
(ii) The City shall provide training;
(iii) Each employee shall be entitled to Statutory Holiday pay at the same percentage as the percentage of full-time that he works;
(iv) It is anticipated that the minimum in most job-sharing situations shall be one (1) week on and one (1) week off;
(v) An employee shall have the right to bid on any position;
(vi) On termination of the job sharing arrangement the employee left without a position has the right to bump;
(vii) Employees sharing a position shall have first opportunity to cover for the other employee's illness, vacation, leaves, etc.
Shared Positions. The college may, at the request of faculty members, convert any full-time positions into a ‘shared position’ subject to the approval of the President of the college.
5.17.1 For purposes of this agreement, the term ‘shared position’ shall mean a full-time faculty position, formerly held by one individual whose responsibilities shall be divided and shared with one or more additional persons.
5.17.2 Those full-time faculty members occupying shared positions shall receive a pro-rata salary based upon a full-time annual rate. In the event an incumbent full-time faculty member’s position is converted to a shared position, the incumbent shall receive all fringe benefits previously received as a full-time faculty member and the new designated faculty member(s) sharing responsibilities shall receive such fringe benefits as funding allows. Except in extraordinary circumstances, the cost of the shared position arrangement, including salary and benefits, shall not exceed the total cost of the original position.
5.17.3 During this period, seniority and credit toward sabbatical leave shall accrue as if the incumbent were full-time.
5.17.4 All faculty contracts for shared positions shall specify the term of the position and guarantee the right of the incumbent to recapture full-time status.
5.17.5 Those faculty members in shared positions shall have the full range of responsibilities of full-time faculty members including involvement in collegial governance and student advisement.
Shared Positions. Section 1. The School Board/superintendent reserves the right to grant or deny a request for job sharing from its employees. All requests shall be submitted in writing no later than February 1.
Section 2. Seniority shall be unaffected by shared position assignment.
Section 3. All pay and benefits shall be pro-rata.
Section 4. Shared positions shall be voluntary and any written proposal shall be mutually agreeable to all parties; involved employees, bargaining agent, and the district.
Section 5. The School Board/superintendent shall approve or deny the establishment of a shared position by April 1 and shall renew or cancel said proposal annually.
Section 6. Upon dissolution of the shared position, the teacher(s) shall be re-assigned to a teaching position(s) for which the teacher(s) is/are licensed.
Shared Positions. A full-time position may be shared by two (2) Unit Members or by one (1) Unit Member and a non-member (temporary teacher). A shared position can be initiated by any full- time Unit Member. A shared position may be initiated by any full-time Unit Member provided it is initiated in writing prior to April 15 of the year prior to the intended job share year. Should this require a temporary teacher, the Unit Member initiating the shared position shall have the responsibility of assisting the site Principal or supervisor in screening candidates, selecting candidates and serving on the interview team for the hiring of the temporary teacher. The salaries of each teacher should be a prorated amount at 50 percent each, based on the individual placement of each teacher on the salary schedule. If a shared position is desired by one or a pair of permanent teachers, the teacher(s) and the Principal shall mutually agree to the following requirements:
A. Approval of Participation The program must be approved by the primary member's Site Administrator, appropriate Superintendent, and a committee consisting of two peers selected by the S-PTA President. It is the intent of this article that a program shall not be denied summarily or arbitrarily.
Shared Positions. (a) Teachers who have been issued continuing contracts may request to share a teaching position as provided herein. A teacher sharing a position shall retain membership in the Association and shall, therefore, be considered to meet the definition of "teacher" as set forth in Article I, Section
