Staff Development Educational Leave Hours. Educational leave will be 15 limited to a maximum of sixteen (16) hours per benefited registered nurse per fiscal 16 year, except that an additional 1,200 educational hours may be devoted to the Employer 17 granting nurses on a discretionary basis up to sixteen (16) additional hours for 18 attendance at a professional conference in the area of the nurse’s specialty. These 19 educational leave hours will be jointly administered by the PNCC and the nursing 20 education department. Resource nurses who have worked a minimum of 1,040 hours 21 in the immediately preceding fiscal year shall be eligible to participate in a separate pool 22 of eight hundred (800) educational hours per fiscal year. Educational leave will be 23 granted in accordance with operational need, consistent with the provisions in Section 24 13.1.
