Staff Meetings/CLW/District Professional Learning. CLW and staff meetings will follow the regular district schedule and teachers will attend in-person with the site from their last in-person assignment. If the staff meeting content isn’t pertinent to the IS teacher (for example, the principal is going over the Safe Reopening Plan), the IS teacher will not be required to attend. The IS teacher will communicate with his/her principal to see if their attendance is necessary at the upcoming staff meeting/CLW. If the site principal indicates the IS teacher does not need to attend the site staff meeting/CLW, the IS teacher will communicate with the Director of Curriculum and Instruction to determine if they are required to attend a IS specific meeting with Instructional Services (to get updates on taking attendance, dealing with students who aren’t engaging, etc.). If Instructional Services doesn’t have learning or information that is relevant to the IS teacher, the IS teacher will not be required to attend that day’s scheduled staff meeting/CLW. The IS teacher will attend all district level profession learning in-person.

  • Professional Meetings Employees should be encouraged to and may, with the approval of the supervisor, attend professional meetings, conferences, and activities. Subject to the availability of funds, the employee's expenses in connection with such meetings, conferences, or activities shall be reimbursed in accordance with the applicable provisions of State law and university rules.
