Common use of Start/Stop Times Clause in Contracts

Start/Stop Times. If it is necessary for the Medical Center to temporarily or permanently alter a nurse’s start/stop time, the following provisions apply: 5.3.3.1 The change must be made and the nurse must be notified prior to the time the schedule is posted; 5.3.3.2 There may be no more than a two (2) hour variance; and 5.3.3.3 The Medical Center must first seek volunteers from others on the unit and, if there are no such volunteers, the change will be made for the least senior qualified nurse on the unit and shift. 5.3.3.4 The Medical Center may initiate such changes to start and stop times no more than twice in any rolling twelve (12) month period.
