No deduction in salary shall be made for any employee who is absent due to travel restrictions resulting from a national disaster or other extraordinary circumstance which makes it impossible for the employee to report to work. The employee may submit documentation to support the reason for his/her absence. The Superintendent or his/her designee will review the documentation and decide the claim has merit and no deduction shall be made, or available leave time will be charged, or pay deducted (if no paid leave time remains).
