Common use of Step 1 Clause in Contracts

Step 1. 22 Employees shall first discuss the grievance with their immediate supervisor. If employees so 23 wish, they may be accompanied by an Association representative at such discussion. All 24 grievances not brought to the immediate supervisor in accordance with the preceding sentence 25 within fifteen (15) working days of the occurrence of the grievance shall be invalid and subject 26 to no further processing.
