Common use of Step 1 Clause in Contracts

Step 1. 11 The employee shall first discuss the grievance with his/her immediate supervisor. All 13 grievances not brought to the immediate supervisor in accordance with the preceding sentence within 14 thirty (30) workdays of the occurrence of the grievance shall be invalid and subject to no further 15 processing.
