Common use of Steps of Discipline Clause in Contracts

Steps of Discipline. In matters involving the disciplining of employees covered by this agreement, the Company agrees to abide by the following progressive steps of discipline: First offense: Documented verbal counseling. Second offense: Written memorandum of counseling. Third offense: Disciplinary suspension not to exceed five (5) days and may result in termination. The company reserves the right to discipline any employee up to and including termination for just cause (including all serious offenses) based on the severity of the incident in accordance with Company policy.
