Students motivate themselves to speak. Students always motivate themselves to speak English In the sense that even though these students still have many limitations because they still need a lot to learn about English they make their friends who are already quite proficient in speaking English to be their motivation, this was obtained from student interviews where students give positive asnwer they were not bothered with their friends when they are invited to speak English, then they feel jealous of those who are already good at speaking English so that, they make their friends as their motivation to always to try to speak English.
Students motivate themselves to speak. Motivation is defined as "the extent to which the individual works or strives to learn the language because of a desire to do so and the satisfaction experienced in this activity” (Xxxxxxx, 1985, p. 10). What is meant by this attitude is the attitude expressed by students in terms of mutually motivating, encouraging each other and encouraging each other to advance better, which attitude is obtained from the results of student interviews: What do you feel when you see your friends speak fluent English? (Apa yang Anda rasakan saat melihat teman Anda fasih berbahasa Inggris?) What do you think about people who always speak English to you? (Apa pendapat Anda tentang orang yang selalu berbicara bahasa Inggris dengan Anda?). From two questions above students give good answers that lead to the positive side of expressing attitudes, in which they do not feel disturbed when their friends speak in English to them, they even make it a springboard and motivation for them to progress better than before. to be able to speak and master English fluently. Then the results also in line with one of the previous studies according to the previous study from Xxxxx Xxxx (2016) entitled Students' attitude towards english at the second grade students in Islamic Junior High school of Nurul Ihsan Kumpeh Ulu which the results of this study showed that the students also supporting each other to step forward to be able to speak the language well, although sometimes there are also those who laugh at them, the researcher believes that this school and the school from the previous study have the same thing because they live in one environment and even one room, because they spend a lot of time together so that emotion arises to remind and support each other .
