Subpoenaed Witness Service on a Port related case (Article 16)
Subpoenaed Witness Service. Pay on Day of Injury An employee hurt in an industrial accident shall be paid for the time lost on the day he/she was injured at his/her straight time hourly rate, including any overtime premium and applicable shift differential. In the event that an employee is directed by The Company to seek medical treatment outside of The Company on a day when he/she has commenced his/her regular shift, The Company will pay the employee for all regular shift time lost while obtaining this treatment if in fact the medical problem is the result of an industrial accident or an occupational illness contracted or suffered while in the employ of Xxxxxxx. The Company will also supply or pay for transportation to and from such treatment if this is necessary. The Company will not be responsible for the payment of such time and transportation which is compensated by the Work Place Safety and Insurance Board The calculation of hourly rates shall be based on the employee’s straight time hourly rate, plus appropriate premiums, if any.
