Common use of Subsistence Allowance Clause in Contracts

Subsistence Allowance. (i) On projects where the Employees choose the option of subsistence allowance, it is agreed that it shall be paid on a seven (7) days basis..Employees reporting for work shall receive subsistence allowance for the day he initially travels and is to be paid on the Employee's first normal payday. Effective May 1, 2014, 2014 in all instances, the day he initially travels subsistence allowance for Industrial Painting shall be one hundred thirty dollars ($130.00) or meal allowance of fifty two dollars and is to fifty cents ($52.50) plus double room occupancy. Effective May 1 , 2015 in all instances, the subsistence allowance for Industrial Painting shall be paid on the Employee's first normal paydayone hundred thirty five dollars ($135.00) or meal allowance of fifty five dollars ($55.00) plus double room occupancy. (iib) An Employee employee shall forfeit subsistence allowance for absenteeism or leaving work without written permission on any working day.
