Common use of Substituted Leave – Public Holidays Clause in Contracts

Substituted Leave – Public Holidays. (a) Where the nature of the employment of Employees does not permit the observance of public holidays as they occur, substituted leave will be granted by the Employer. For part-time Employees, payment for a public holiday granted as a day's leave will be made only in respect of those public holidays on which the part-time Employees would have worked had there been no public holiday.
