SUMMER INSTRUCTIONAL ASSIGNMENTS. ‌ Part-Time faculty: Compensated like a regular academic year instructional assignment (see 1. above). Full-Time faculty: Compensated using a calculation based on Full-Time annual salary in effect for preceding quarter. Example: Annual salary of $49,150 teaching a 50% class summer class. NOTE: FTF have unique job codes (available on the quarterly FTF salary placement list) assigned to them during the summer quarter based on their academic year salary placement. Note also that FTF summer pay applies to instruction only (non-instructional assignments such as librarians, counselors, and advisors are paid via extended days).

SUMMER INSTRUCTIONAL ASSIGNMENTS. A full-time faculty member who is completing or has completed his Basic Academic-Year contractual obligations prior to or during the Summer Term may also request to teach during the summer. To be eligible, the faculty member must be rated as set forth in Article 9, Section 8, above. If the sections are available, a faculty member, so rated, requesting a summer teaching assignment will be assigned up to 315 contract hours at the established overload rate after all full-time faculty within the discipline have met their minimum contractual loads. If assigned, the following criteria shall apply to summer instructional duties: A. A full-time instructional faculty member rated “Satisfactory” will have priority for summer instructional duties of up to 315 contact hours over part-time faculty at all campuses or divisions. It is the requesting faculty member’s responsibility to make his or her preference known. B. Faculty members rated “Unsatisfactory” may be permitted to teach in the summer. The decisions as to whether they are eligible to teach in the summer and, if eligible, the number of course that can be taught are within the discretion of the immediate Supervising Administrator. If a summer assignment is granted, it will not exceed 180 contact hours.

If Theravance elects to record the Assignment, Theravance shall undertake such recordal tasks and shall bear the costs and fees associated with the recordal, including but not limited to all filing fees, agent fees, and costs of notarization and legalizations. GSK shall cooperate with Theravance as reasonably necessary. Notwithstanding the foregoing, in the event that any Trademark is used by GSK on any other product, GSK shall not assign such Trademark as contemplated in the preceding sentence but shall license such Trademark to Theravance on a non-exclusive basis and subject to any further license terms to be agreed by the Parties in good faith at the time.

  • Shift Assignment Should the University elect to establish a shift on any other schedule than the regular day shift (Monday through Friday) or to assign employees to work on any such shift, the employee(s) with the most seniority in the classification affected or to be assigned on such shift shall have preference in moving to such shift. If an insufficient number of employees in the classification elect to move to such shift, then the employee(s) with the least seniority in the classification shall be assigned to such shift. If positions or shifts are reduced or eliminated or movement of personnel to other shifts is required, then the seniority of the affected employee will prevail in the selection of shift, provided the affected employee can do the required work. Such shift preference is only applicable within the employee's classification.
